A trip down under-Day 3

Howdy!

I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday (nothing much happened as we arrived in the morning, caught up with family then went to sleep at 6pm as we were all extremely jet lagged). Although we did get to see my families house (which is amazing) that is right next to the local park and surrounded by palm trees so it almost looks like you're in the middle of the garden. My cousin's little black pug was also over and as she is only 10 weeks old she was tiny and decided to bite everything within reach!

Anyways, back to today. So it started very early at 5am as I went to sleep so early the night before. We were treated to a full English cooked breakfast made on the barbecue, which was very weird considering its the middle of winter (their winter is like our spring/summer) but also yummy! After mum and grandma were back from church, we all went down to the marina to go on their boat down the river!

It was such a lovely day and as the water was completely flat with no waves it was very relaxing. We drove up the river, got off at a few mini beaches, had lunch, caught some prawns to use as bait for fishing, attempted to do some fishing (which was pretty boring as we weren't successful at all) and watched the sunset go down on the river,  which was pretty spectacular and a perfect photo opportunity!

Tonight has been spent eating dinner and playing cards inside with the heating on as it is pretty chilly at night!

Highlights of the day:

-Almost pushing my mum in the river when we were taking a photo

-Completely messing up the scoring table of a card game and having a laughing fit and getting into a delusional state (I won the game though).

-The beautiful sunset over the river and looking at all the big houses on the river that I could only dream of!

A trip down under-Day 1

Howdy!

I am writing this from the 12 hour plane journey to Singapore at the moment and wow its long!

For my holiday to Australia this year I have decided to record my time by writing posts on this blog. Not only will it be a good way to let my friends know what I'm up to but so I can savour these memories!

After an extremely boring and frustrating taxi ride (it took an hour more than it should have due to traffic) we finally arrived at the aiport. The check in and security was surprisingly very quick and before I knew it we were in starbucks for my first hot chocolate of the holiday. (you'll come to realise I'm addicted to it) After my parents making friends with someone who claimed to be a bollywood actor filming in the UK, it was time to go to the gate. Annoyingly, we had to get a bus to the plane but I suppose its all apart of the adventure ).(an extremely boring one at so far)

So far on the plane I've watched the new Cinderella and half an hour of Simon's Cat videos. I found Cinderella kinda boring as I know the story and have seen many different film adaptations. Simon's Cat however was very funny as usual, I mean who doesn't like watching a cat wrip a room to shreds while the owner sleeps!

Well I think I've rambled on enough about my journey so far so I'll leave you with a picture of my cat sleeping in my suitcase this morning (he obviously wanted to come with us!) and a few view pictures from ly flight!

Who cares about distances?

Howdy! (Yes I am changing my greeting as I realised that 'hello my pumpkins' is way too cheesy for my liking, deal with it.)

I know, I know it's been a while since I last posted but with exams and many other important and not so important things going on in my life I haven't had the time or inspiration to write a post. I'm sorry! In fact, this post wad inspired by my friend.

I have just finished my GCSE exams which means I have officially finished secondary school. Me and all of my friends of 5 years are going to various sixth forms and colleges which is going to be a huge change in my life. After practically spending almost everyday with them for around 5 years, it feels weird to think I will only be seeing them once in a while.

However, this made me think, we live in the 21st century with many different electronic devices and social medias that it's almost impossible to loose contact with someone unless they want to loose contact. Especially for me, distance doesn't stop me from sharing a close bond with people. Despite the fact that you can't talk face to face, I honestly find it a lot easier to talk via text or skype. Some people may find this weird or unhealthy but personally, I'm an internet kid who constantly has wifi everywhere I go. I have many internet friends who live miles and miles away from me who I have never met before but still talk to every single day and could talk about anything with them.

I am not saying I don't like talking to people in real life and that I never do this but I am simply saying that distance shouldn't be a deciding point for whether you are friends with someone or not.

For any of my friends who are reading this, I promise to try my hardest to stay in contact with you all for many years to come and for others reading this, don't let distance break you apart from people you truly feel yourself around because you may never find people like that again.

Anyways enough of this deepness, I have a bed to sleep in and food to eat before my epic holiday which I also haven't finished packing for... (I'm not reading through this so if it doesn't make sense or isnt completely gramatically correct and you have a problem with that, you know where the exit button is, I'm not perfect okay)

Favourite pictures

Hello my pumpkins! 

Below are some of my most favorite pictures I have taken....on my phone! This just proves to you all that you don't need a fancy and expensive camera to produce amazing outcomes! The pictures were taken at several different times so I'll give description of them all as we go along. Enjoy!

I took this last Monday when I took a trip up to London with my friends! This is of the fountain in Trafalgar square, in the corner you can see the blue cockerel and in the distance, the national art gallery!

I also took this on Monday, its pretty self explanatory. Yes that is the river Thames and yes in the distance is Big Ben and the Houses of parliament!

This is by far my favourite and is a picture of a view of the lake in St James park. In the distance it looks like there are some castles however I'm not quite sure what they are!

This is picture of the pool at the resort we stayed in in Thailand! The best thing about that resort was that it was so empty and most of the time it felt like we had the whole pool to ourselves!

Okay how adorable is the goat kid?! I took this on my work experience at a farm. There were so many goats born whilst on work experience and it was amazing getting to see them being born and looking after them for 2 weeks!

I took this last summer when I went to a fun fair with my friends. This picture brings back the funny memory of when I forced by friend who hated Ferris wheels to go on this one. She literally wouldn't stop panicking because there was no seat belt and she thought she was gonna fall out. I just laughed...oops.

This last picture is the view from my apartment in Spain that I went to back in August. In the distance you can see the sea and the sky was blue and it was just so perfect to this view everyday!

Just another Christmas themed post

Hello my pumpkins!

So here I am, sitting on my bedroom floor, cherry coke to hand and listening to the amazing Christmas album by Pentatonix, ready to write the inevitable Christmas themed blog that is expected from every blogger! (boo to me for being basic)

This year, I don't feel as christmassy as usual, this is probably because I had mocks a few weeks ago and I've just been so busy to get into the christmas spirit! But finally, with 4 days till Christmas, I think I'm finally getting there! I just came back from Christmas shopping and picked up a few things I'll share with you!

Every Christmas, I get my mum and CD that she can listen to in her car, it's almost like a tradition for me! Plus I finally understand what kind of music my mum likes and she very much appreciates it when I get her a new load of music to listen to! I think like every other single mum in the world she likes Olly so I got her his new CD! This a great idea for a gift as it is both practical and not too expensive!

Another must have for Christmas is cards of course! I find that getting cards with Mum on it for example, is almost like a Christmas card itself, especially if you add a special message inside! This year I got a Mum and Dad and Uncle card as these will be the only people in my house this Christmas!

Lastly, of course a shopping trip isn't complete without treating yourself too! So I decided to take a trip to Primark as they usually have some nice and cheap clothes! I came out with an extremely soft and warm sweater! I plan to wear this when I go ice skating tomorrow and on Christmas eve!

And finally, to finish off, here's some pictures of my Christmas decorations in my home! I hope to be making some Christmas treats in a few days so I'll probably upload a post on that!
