You are beautiul

Hello my pumpkins!

'I'm so ugly', 'I look horrible in this picture', chances are you're not and you really don't!

Society at the moment is so expectant on the appearance of everyone, especially girls. Growing up as a teenage girl can actually be very hard sometimes when it comes to your appearance. Going through puberty means you are changing, mentally and physically and this can be very daunting.

Around me, everyone is saying they 'can't live without makeup' and here is me, I have never worn a full face of makeup in my life. When people make this comment it kind of makes me feel insecure as if they're saying you have to wear makeup to look pretty. It's almost offensive but I know they don't mean it to!

When I tell people I don't wear makeup they ask me, 'why not?' The answer, I don't feel obligated to. I'm not going to waste like 20 minutes sleeping a relaxing time to do my makeup when it won't really impact me. I have amazing friends already and I don't want a boyfriend right now, even if I wanted one, I believe that they should like me for my personality, not appearance.

Saying this, it doesn't mean I completely don't care about my appearance, of course I do, but I believe I was given all my flaws for a reason and there is no need to cover them up.

So, next time you look in the mirror and see your reflection, don't think 'that's horrible' but feel confident in your appearance just the way you are and the way you were born because if you believe in yourself, chances are others will probably too. I am not saying you shouldn't wear makeup, that is a choice you should make yourself to be pleasing yourself, not others, I am just saying my personal preference at the moment is that makeup is not the answer to my problems.

If you're reading this you are beautiful.

Adios! x
